Notes:
-The Lone Earth terrorist group attacked the exhibition, motivated by anti-alien sentiments and Project Khnum's use of not-quite-human clones. However the assailants were quickly wiped out as another enemy used this opportunity to ambush and surround us - the Lost Seekers.
-The Lost Seekers were commanded by Greta, the Steel Legion centurion and Daniel's old boss. Her mission was to dispose of him as a traitor.
-Project Khnum cloned soldiers assisted us in a fight but proved to be of limited use, due to their unwillingness to kill humans - a weakness which the enemies ruthlessly exploited. However in the end, Chou, Eva and Volya managed to work together and break the clones' programming by using the last mote remaining of Ren's memories in Chou.
-Though his Gun of God has been broken, Daniel managed to overpower Greta and learn the third name of God in the process - at least as the Lost Seekers see it.
-Security and moral concerns ensure that Project Khnum has been pretty much cancelled indefinitely. Edward Mcdowell is not happy, not that he can do anything about it.

The Name of God

The exposition site of ESUN's new type of soldiers comes under attack by terrorists. It's the perfect opportunity for the project to prove itself - or is it?

Important Notes:
- Freddy Angel used the Casaba Howitzer to blow open the seal on a massive underground facility in Alaska, which had been used during the Pedantic Blue program to cast away its unwanted and unneeded subjects.  The only thing remaining from that time turned out to be Eva's mother Samantha as well as the humongous robot: the Storm Petrel.  Their goal was to strike back at those they felt they needed to in the name of vengeance for the Pedantic Blue Project.
- The Petrel used a very powerful, but also radioactive, fuel source to allow high-speed movement... such that if it'd been given a chance to escape the facility then severe ecological damage would've followed.  It came close to that when Freddy Angel sacrificed himself to transport the gigantic machine to the surface, but fortunately everyone was able to disable it in time.
- At the battle's end, Eva chose to have a physical reunion with her mother, allowing her to finally move on from this world after sustaining herself for nineteen years on pure willpower alone.  Though a very heartfelt moment, Eva now needs to be treated for radiation sickness.  The Storm Petrel's Nuclear salt-water exhaust is not a laughing matter, missy!
- With all of the rogue psychics dead and all its dirty secrets exposed to the proper authorities, the literal and figurative ghosts of the past have been laid to rest.  Pedantic Blue's research will be put to use the only acceptable way: serving as a benchmark to make sure nobody tries to do the same thing again.

A Place Of Forgetting, A Time of Remembering

At long last Freddy Angel makes use of the Casaba Howitzer; not as a weapon aimed at his enemies but as a key to unlock something far, far worse.  It all comes to a head in Alaska, where the demons of Pedantic Blue's past return in murderous force.

Notes:
-In order to stop Freddy Angel, Edward Mcdowell asked for Unity Group's assistance, as well as deploying Eva in the restored green Tern, and hiring a Raven and some other mercenaries.
-It turns out Freddy was after the Casaba Howitzer - a unique nuclear explosive and yet another remain of Project Pedantic Blue. Even though we defeated and killed Maria Starling, Freddy unfortunately got away with the bomb.
-As we learnt from Edward, Freddy intends to use the Howitzer to free some kind of inhuman nightmare.
-After the failed operation, Eva decided to leave Edward and return to Unity Group. Something which he was against but ultimately powerless to stop. This caused a brief but brutal firefight with the remaining AC pilots. This too was something Edward did not like but had no power to prevent.
-Edward Mcdowell's future does not look too bright in general. Also the surrounding area took rather heavy damage during fighting, though it was at least evacuated in preparation for the attack.

Devotion

Edward Mcdowell asks Unity Group for assistance - despite his shadiness we move to act, as a civilian site will be the target of the attack. Yet it's also a chance to reunite with an old friend...

Important Notes:
- The "mine" turned out to be a lot more than just an ordinary mine.  For starters, it had been the home to "Project Pedantic Blue" in the past, a project that involved trying to make psychic supersoldiers like Eva.  After that it had wound up being the hideout for Freddy Angel and his gang; not good for the mining group who recently tried to reopen it.  On top of that, it also was the site of something of value for the Ebon Court.  More news on that as it develops.
- We've recovered a number of brainwashed people used by Freddy's gang.  They are... not in a good way and it's uncertain what we'll do with them.
- There was also a whole lot of information there on Pedantic Blue before Eva blew it up, both to protect her former boss and make sure the project can never again be attempted.
- We have recovered the Tern used by Eva's half-sister Shizuka.  Like the brainwashed pilots, there's the question of what to do with it.

After some discussion, it was decided that the mission Homecoming would be rescheduled for this Monday, April 27th at 8 AM Central time.  This post also serves as a new signup, so if you would like to join in, please post below indicating such.

Homecoming

A search for the details of Eva's origins lead the Unity Group to a series of deserted islands, seemingly devoid of answers. But investigations can turn up all sorts of things in -and under- the ground.

Important Notes:
- Langley gets to join Birmingham on the list of cities mucked up recently.  This time by Freddy Angel and his goons trying to kill Edward Mcdowell.
- Eva allegedly has a lot of blood on her hands, enough that Freddy and co. think her like the worst kind of person ever.  They also think she's dead now (she's not, thanks to Ren taking in all that would-be fatal damage).
- Edward Mcdowell has expressed gratitude for what we did, but is still an evasive fucker about what's really going on.

(Note: With Terra's leave of absence some parts to the setup of this mission has changed but I still fully intend to run it.)

Slimy Things Did Crawl

The end of the past year and the start of the new one are not all fun, games, and celebrations, as marked by another sudden attack by those working for the terrorist Freddy Angel.  The Unity Group moves to respond, and in turn gets to go further down the rabbit hole...

Notes:
- We failed to protect Jason Ortiz, who killed himself rather than let Freddy Angel's terrorists get their hands on him.
- There were no other non-hostile casualties, though parts of the city's slums district were destroyed.
- Apparently, Eva is the sister of Freddy Angel and Thomas Vale, who know more about her past than she does. Unfortunately we can't ask them, since the former escaped and the latter and all of his men died.
- Eva unlocked some kind of telekinetic ability, which apparently she had the entire time but didn't remember it.

Penance Due

Edward Mcdowell contacts Unity Group again. He's gotten wind of the location of Jason Ortiz, a scientist who should possess information about Freddy Angel. Considering what happened to Dolores Norman, a squad is quickly sent to take Ortiz into protective custody - before the mysterious assailants reach him as well! But will we make it in time...?

The mission Fearful Symmetry was... something.  We've still got zero leads about the terrorist Freddy Angel, but we did stumble more than one can of worms and helped save some hostages so hooray!  The complete mission log can be read here.

Important Notes:
- Dolores Norman was killed by mysterious assailants and her home destroyed.  She also insisted that we should ask Edward Mcdowell -the guy who requested us take this mission in the first place- if we wanted information about Freddy Angel.  Edward's rather confused about this and says he can't comment on any relation he might have had with Freddy.  Weird.
- Dolores is survived by a single painting she'd given to Walt and was in his Genoace.  Maybe now that she's dead its value will skyrocket!
- The original team was captured by another unknown party, led by an androgynous individual named Bao.  They've all been rescued, save for one who was killed before the team found them.
- With the team was also a strange, red-skinned horned humanoid named Ren.  Ren's also androgynous and seems to have some sort of strange psychic power that enabled us to better fight Bao's followers.
- Speaking of psychic powers, Eva inexplicably summoned a black version of one of the first unknown group's machines, called the "Albatross".  She's just as clueless about this as the rest of us.
- The R-Blade and VG's TSF were both severely damaged and will need extensive repairs.

First the La Gias mission and now this...

Um, everyone?  We've received a request from an operative in the US intelligence network.  They've been struggling for some time in tracking down a terrorist named "Freddy Angel" , though a possible lead turned up.  I don't know the details, but supposedly an artist named Dolores Norman might have a lead on it.

From what we were told and could dig up, she's a recluse, living somewhere in the Amazon far away from anyone or any kind of long-range communication equipment.  And the reason we're being called in to try to find her and talk to her... is because they already sent a team who's gone silent.  How or why is a mystery... but finding that team's a secondary objective for this.

Fearful Symmetry

When an ESUN team goes missing in the jungles of South America to find an informant who might just be the key to stopping a terrorist, it's up to the Unity Group to find them and/or finish their mission.  Unfortunately, there are some that don't want us finding the informant... to say nothing of the fate of the previous team...
