Notes:
-The OSI headquarters came under attack by the Ebon Court - low on manpower, they hired two rogue Ravens (and a bunch of cannon fodder), and got assistance from the Chimera as well.
-The Ebon Court as it turns out wanted to gather the key artifacts to break the seal on an ancient monster, responsible for deaths of almost all from their civilization - not to free it, but to slay it for good. Having finally learnt of this motivation, members of Unity Group offered assistance. An offer that was grudgingly accepted...
-Only for Director Holstein and the OSI-held Acolyte Kurtis to reveal themselves - as minions of the very monster the Ebon Court tried to destroy. Having learnt of their exact plan as well, they no longer had anything to hide and decided to kill everyone present.
-Holstein and Kurtis were killed, but Avishai died fighting them. That leaves only two members of the Ebon Court alive - Graeme and their leader Lagardia. They both were escorted back to Unity Group.
-The attack on OSI headquarters caused damage and casualties among the organisation and the local defense force. Even though the Ebon Court's motivations may have been noble, their actions can't be easily forgiven.
-Calvin got his Genoace back, and a chance to one up OSI and stab Holstein in the head at the same time.

All or Nothing

Only two months after relieving Calvin of his services, the OSI headquarters comes under attack - by the same people whose existence the organisation disbelieved!

Notes:
-For once, retrieval of one of Calvin's artifacts went off without incident. However once we were prepared to take off, Enlil appeared to challenge us, the Arabian Peninsula being home to the ancient city of Nippur and thus his domain.
-The Ebon Court appeared but helped us fight Enlil - once he was (as future events would show, only temporarily) defeated, Maloz offered to duel for the artifact's possession.
-The duel was interrupted by Enlil's reappearance and Lucine going berserk. The latter is something that may happen to all members of the Ebon Court, apparently. Unfortunately there was nothing to be done but kill her.
-Theo (re?)acquired the Cross of Sinners, a potent weapon to fight gods.
-In the end, Enlil was defeated by Alex as she and Enki used Nippur's waters to create a fusion bomb. Before his death, Enlil warned us that something is coming - lured by humanity's presence, it seeks its destruction...
-As it turned out, Alex did survive the explosion! Though she is in a severe condition right now and Enki is gone. Maloz didn't survive the encounter - critically wounded, he decided to be killed in a duel rather than let Lucine's state take over him as well.
-As for the OSI, well... (See Calvin post)

Gotterdammerung

One of the artifacts the Ebon Court was interested in was located. Surprisingly, retrieval happens without incident. But the aftermath itself takes a turn beyond all expectations...

Setting: The Empty Quarter desert (Arabian peninsula)

The mission Songs Within the Tunnel was a failure... for all of five seconds at the start.  Things were later promoted to it being a success!  The log can be read here.

Important Notes:
- The artifact -referred to as a "key" by the Ebon Court- had actually wound up in the hands of a front group for the Nazi-group Scylla Und Charybdis.  They were working with the Court, so it's no wonder that our efforts to just have them give it to us were doomed from the start.
- Speaking of which, the Court had also come by to make a house call for the key, but we successfully stole it out from under their noses.  In the chaos that followed, both the Court and UG forces were attacked by "The Songstress", another member of the Court's race who had been entrusted to S&C in the hopes of curing a madness that had overtaken her like much of their race.  Instead S&C tried turning her into a weapon with middling, though horrific results.
- With their cover blown and command structure devastated, Scylla Und Charybdis is effectively dismantled.

Songs Within The Tunnel

Another of the enigmatic artifacts connected to the Ebon Court is located, but has also wound up in the hands of a seemingly neutral third party.  But when the Court comes calling and facades are dropped, the Unity Group will find this party has more than just fancy artifacts at their disposal.

The mission Homecoming was completed successfully.  We now'll have a little better understanding of both the Ebon Court, and also Eva's origins as well.  The log can be read here.

Important Notes:
- The "mine" turned out to be a lot more than just an ordinary mine.  For starters, it had been the home to "Project Pedantic Blue" in the past, a project that involved trying to make psychic supersoldiers like Eva.  After that it had wound up being the hideout for Freddy Angel and his gang; not good for the mining group who recently tried to reopen it.  On top of that, it also was the site of something of value for the Ebon Court.  More news on that as it develops.
- We've recovered a number of brainwashed people used by Freddy's gang.  They are... not in a good way and it's uncertain what we'll do with them.
- There was also a whole lot of information there on Pedantic Blue before Eva blew it up, both to protect her former boss and make sure the project can never again be attempted.
- We have recovered the Tern used by Eva's half-sister Shizuka.  Like the brainwashed pilots, there's the question of what to do with it.

After some discussion, it was decided that the mission Homecoming would be rescheduled for this Monday, April 27th at 8 AM Central time.  This post also serves as a new signup, so if you would like to join in, please post below indicating such.

Homecoming

A search for the details of Eva's origins lead the Unity Group to a series of deserted islands, seemingly devoid of answers. But investigations can turn up all sorts of things in -and under- the ground.

The Ebon Court Rises

Something suspicious is going on in a remote village, and the investigator sent to observe it is missing. A rescue team was already assembled - but it is missing as well! Our mission, rescue the rescue team!
