The mission Deep Core is by all rights a success... though there's not really any good reason to celebrate due to other circumstances.

Important Notes:
- Although the Unity Group'd gone to Africa on account of reports of a Kijin, Setsuko Ohara and Toby Watson were first on the scene because they charged out in pursuit of Asakim Dowin, whom they'd caught wind of one way or another. As it turns out, the two had at least a temporary alliance.
- In the midst of the battle, Toby and Setsuko were unfortunately shot down in the midst of trying to kill Asakim. Virgola Unit 2 has been pretty thoroughly reduced to scrap, Setsuko's Unit 1 being barely better off. Toby himself was killed in action. Setsuko is in a really bad condition both mentally and physically on account of all of this and the physical beatdown Asakim handed her.
- Asakim appears to have at least one ally, a woman using a pink, demon-goat machine. There is no knowledge or record of any organization using this design.
- Maga, the Kijin, was a crafty opponent who used a proxy to try to kill us with. Fortunately we still managed to expose and kill her... at the cost of creating a massive hole in the ground in North Africa. No boss soul this time for Seta though... that's what happens when you hit a enemy with a whole bucket full of Overkill.
- Lady Gray is most displeased with Commander Antov overriding her regarding Seta.
